Dr. Donaldson's Education & Background

Dr. Jeffrey H. Donaldson brings the country’s most current concepts in plastic surgery to his practice in Columbus. He is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and has completed both fellowship and subspecialty-fellowship training with some of the most influential leaders in the field.

In addition to authoring many published articles about plastic surgery and presenting research at national and international meetings, Dr. Donaldson also teaches medical students and resident surgeons while serving as a media consultant on a variety of plastic surgical topics.

The Highest Quality Education and Training

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Donaldson graduated from Upper Arlington High School and attended Yale University where he majored in English with professors Harold Bloom and Robert Stone, and played quarterback for coaching legend Carmen Cozza.

Dr. Donaldson pursued his medical degree at The Ohio State University and a five-year general surgery residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He was selected from more than 100 surgeons to train in plastic surgery fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. After completing this program, he was selected for a highly prestigious and sought-after oculoplastic/aesthetic surgery sub-specialty fellowship at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta with Emory faculty members Drs. Mark Codner, Rod Hester, Sonny McCord and Foad Nahai.

Dr. Donaldson’s Return to Columbus

Upon completion of the Paces program and his 12 years of medical education and training, Dr. Donaldson was invited to join his mentors and become academic faculty, but he decided to return to Columbus to establish a practice near family in his hometown.

His History of Practicing in Ohio

Dr. Donaldson has hospital and operating privileges at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Mount Carmel East and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in the greater Columbus area. He specializes in plastic surgery procedures for the breast and body. He has an accomplished background in reconstructive surgery, but now he focuses solely on the needs of his cosmetic patients.

Always Adopting the Latest & Greatest in Cosmetic Treatments

Offering more non-invasive procedures, such as Botox®, Juvéderm® Volbella and Halo® laser resurfacing, Dr. Donaldson champions an innovative approach to skin care and provides several lines of skin products that are only available in dermatology and plastic surgery offices.

Dr. Jeffrey H. Donaldson and Donaldson Plastic Surgery believe strongly in giving back to the local community. In 2011, Dr. Donaldson established DPS Cares, a philanthropic extension of his successful plastic surgery practice in Columbus, Ohio. Through popular events such as the “Likes for Lives” campaign, DPS Cares has donated thousands of dollars to local charities, hospitals, community events, high school athletics programs, and more.

In 2014, Dr. Donaldson was selected as a member of the Forty Under 40 awards program. Columbus Business First’s annual program honors distinguished up-and-coming professionals and community leaders. Honorees are evaluated on community service efforts and notable career achievements.
